On 12 May 2026, the Ministry of Interior announced that the General Directorate of Traffic had relocated its Investigation Department.

The traffic department is relocating from its main building in Khalifa City, Madinat Khalifa, to the Lusail area. Visitors are advised to enter through the main gate.
